Ruger Super Redhawk, .357 Magnum, 21-inch barrel — not merely scarce, but almost certainly one of the last surviving examples in original, unmodified factory specification anywhere in the UK.
The background makes this extraordinary. Produced around 1999–2001 in a single dedicated run for the UK market following the 1997 handgun ban, approximately 200 of these long-barrelled Super Redhawks left the Ruger factory — around 100 in .357 Magnum and 100 in .44 Magnum, catalogued as model KSRH-21-357. They left the factory exactly as this one is: 21-inch barrel, no arm support, the barrel length alone satisfying UK Section 1 requirements on barrel and overall length. What followed is well documented among collectors: the vast majority were subsequently cut down to 12-inch barrels and fitted with arm supports. This is one of the tiny handful that was never modified. The arm-support versions, sometimes assumed to be original, are in fact the altered guns.
• Massively reinforced Super Redhawk frame — extra metal in top strap, sidewalls and barrel mounting areas, built to handle the most powerful magnum loads
• Double-action / single-action configuration
• 21-inch cold hammer-forged stainless barrel — the full factory length, delivering outstanding velocity and exceptional accuracy
• Integral scope mounts machined into the top strap
• .357 Magnum chamber also accepts .38 Special
• No arm support — the correct, unmodified factory specification
• Brushed stainless finish throughout
• Combined wood and rubber grip
• Bore and external condition both very good; no significant damage reported
For the serious collector or long-barrelled pistol enthusiast, opportunities like this do not come around twice. Asking £2,999.
